MATCH RATINGS: Chelsea 1-4 Manchester United – Reserves

Sam Johnstone (7) Had a quiet first half with very few meaningful saves to make but as we eased off the gas in second half, he was called upon frequently and did very well with what was thrown at him. Could do nothing about Chelsea’s fine consolation.

Marnick Vermijl (6) Struggled to make an impact on this game. Was very quiet while he was on the pitch. He didn’t do his trademark tireless runs up and down the right flank. Did not do anything of note. Was substituted in the second half.

Michael Keane (7) This young lad is turning out to be a fine centre half. He was rock solid all game. Strong in the air and hard in the tackle, he did not put a foot wrong all afternoon, even setting up his brother Will with a raking pass for his goal. Read more of this post
